This work aims to define the most appropriate concentrating solar power (CSP) technology to be deployed at Escombreras Valley and meet the technical requirements of the Fertiberia/QSR and desalination plant. A brief review of the concentrating solar power technologies is first presented. Then, a decision matrix was developed based on the CSP technologies available in the literature. Besides, an economic analysis was performed based on the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA-2020/21). Finally, a thermodynamic analysis is proposed for task 5.6 of the CORALIS project, which is divided into four steps: storage system, heat transfer fluid, and power block.
